Nicholls

About the project

Project type: Renovation

Over the past five years we have undertaken various projects for Max and Faye’s Nicholls home. The first project we worked on was their upper-level master bedroom balcony. The existing timber balcony was replaced with an architectural-designed, structural, steel balcony, balustrade and handrail. We used Mod Wood for the decking which, combined with the steel used for the structure, means they will enjoy the deck for years to come with little to no maintenance.

The next project we were tasked with was to replace and modernise the internal stairs, balustrade and handrail, as well as some minor relocating of existing walls to create larger openings.

We also updated the kitchen by altering the shape of the breakfast bar, replacing the existing bench tops with new stone tops, and replacing the extensive splash backs with custom-made slumped glass.

The latest project, completed in 2019, was to replace, and in some cases, enlarge the existing north-facing windows and sliding doors with double-glazed units, incorporating the latest in glazing technologies. These works have created extremely comfortable, energy-efficient, north-facing rooms all year round.

We look forward to our next project with Max and Faye.

P&G Builders have successfully undertaken several interior and exterior house renovation projects for us since 2016. The first project involved demolition and construction of a new front deck with steps, handrails and retiling of the entry steps and portico. The latest project, completed in December 2019, involved extensive renovation to the back of the house to replace existing windows and doors with larger double glazed items.

We have been extremely happy with the outcome of all projects undertaken by P&G Builders and highly recommend them for their high standard of workmanship, integrity and easygoing personalities. Great work Peter and Mark.
